Family Dentistry

From newborns with their first teeth, to teenagers with braces, to adults with cosmetic dental needs to older patients with dentures, our clinic offers the good dental heath that is important at every stage of life.

Dental Innovations

Digital radiographs processed in one second, whiter teeth in an hour, 3D imaging, porcelain crowns in one appointment – these are just some of the exciting dental innovations our office has incorporated to better serve you.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Have you ever wondered if it was possible to fix that chip in your tooth, fill that gap, or have whiter, straighter teeth? Ever wonder how much time and effort it would take? Most dental solutions only take a few appointments, some can be achieved in one.

Paediatric Dentistry

Welcome to our kids’ smile corner. Good habits need to be started at an early age in order for us to keep our teeth for a lifetime.

Gum Therapy

It is estimated that more than half of all adults age 35 and older have early to advanced stages of periodontal disease. Periodontal disease (PD) is the primary cause of lost teeth after the age of 35 - not dental cavities.

Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)

Dr. Choo is a participant of the new Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), a federally delivered public plan intended to help ease financial barriers to accessing oral health care for eligible Canadian residents.

Same Day Dentistry - Single Visit Crown System

Same day dentistry refers to an innovative new brand of treatment that condenses some traditional procedures into a single office visit. Thanks to in-office dental CAD/CAM technology, patients can receive milled metal-free porcelain crowns, veneers, onlays and inlays in (often) one office visit, while you wait.

Same Day Dentistry Benefits

With in-office CAD/CAM dentistry, multiple appointments for the same treatment are no longer necessary, which saves time. Instead, needed restorations are identified, created and cemented in the same day when appropriate.

Same day CAD/CAM dentistry also eliminates the need for temporaries, since the permanent and clinically proven final restorations are placed in one visit. This reduces concerns about tooth sensitivities that could otherwise result when wearing temporary restorations, or about the temporaries falling out at inconvenient times.

Additionally, you may only need to receive local anaesthetic once for any necessary tooth preparation.

Mission Statement

Relationships are BUILT when patients and the dentist communicate with each other.

Dr. Choo will listen to all your dental concerns, both past and present. She will spend the time and energy to get to know each individual because everyone presents with slightly different needs.

Relationships are FOSTERED when there is mutual care, trust and respect.

Dr. Choo really cares for and respects the needs of her patients – trying to eliminate the fear and anxiety so often associated with dental treatment. Dr. Choo will earn your trust not just your business. In return, clients are encouraged to voice their main concerns, ask questions, and to keep an open mind.

Relationships are ONGOING COMMITMENTS to deliver the best possible service.

Dr. Choo takes a lot of pride in her work, and enjoys providing the best treatment for everyone. She is committed to carrying out the high standards and the high ethics of the dental profession.

What To Expect From Our Clinic

Unfortunately for some people, anxiety prevents them from visiting a dentist – even for simple check-ups. Some fear the pain associated sometimes with dentistry, some fear the costs, and still some are embarrassed that they have neglected their mouths for so long. Whatever your anxieties – fear not for these simple exercises will help.

Tell us what makes you ANXIOUS

Different things affect different people differently, so talk to us. Our goal is to provide you with the best possible care – starting with making you comfortable and gaining your trust.

Ask QUESTIONS

We can tell (and show) you as much or as little as you like. We explain all procedures but we need your questions to address what concerns are most relevant to you. We believe in informed consent for all procedures and love to settle any questions or doubts.

Eat a LIGHT MEAL prior to your appointment

An empty stomach increases anxiety while a full stomach is relaxing. Avoid coffee, teas or colas also since they are stimulants. A light protein snack can stabilize your blood sugar level and reduce irritability.

Bring your own MUSIC

Music can soothe almost any soul – even in a dental chair. Headphones can also help to muffle the noises that bother some people.

Left hand PANIC BUTTON

During any procedure, we ask you to raise your left hand if at anytime you are uncomfortable. This allows you to have control and allows you to participate in the procedure. (The left hand is raised so as to not hit the dentist, or harm yourself.)

Some or all of these techniques can help relieve your anxieties but still the most important is your relationship with your dentist and his/her staff. Establish a caring, trusting relationship with your dentist and watch your fears melt away.
